Bit odd to us in the UK, but seems the US spec cars had this an an optional extra from their release (08/83).
Been trying to work out how this would work, its linked into the vacuum lines so must be vacuum driven? Any readers have any more info?

AE86 and... CRUISE CONTROL?!?
Browsing the US eBay site this morning looking at AE86 goodies and I spotted an auction for cruise control for AE86's!
Bit odd to us in the UK, but seems the US spec cars had this an an optional extra from their release (08/83).

looks like a dealer option
ReplyDeleteHad one of this in my car when I got it. The wires ran to a module in the engine bay, and had its own cable that ran to the throttle. I never did see it it worked before it came out.
ReplyDeleteI had working cruise control on my 86' GT-S. I removed it when I put a 20V in. Mine is on a stalk...

I think this was a Toyota add on, and not a dealer option. Worked pretty well! I might get it going again on the 20V.
